Employee Care Centre – Hyderabad
The employee care center at the Infosys Pocharam campus is a multi-functional mixed used building with a gym, bowling alley, badminton courts, squash courts, an indoor cricket pitch, table tennis courts, a library, classrooms, faculty rooms, shops etc. along with accommodation facilities spread over 18 floors.
A large part of the building is ventilated in a mixed mode manner with natural ventilation being the primary mode through most of the year.
Even during peak summer, all the bedrooms will be provided with air conditioning only after 6pm. Day lighting strategies for the 2 podium levels are being designed and analyzed to ensure adequate day lighting in all the usable spaces.
As the rooms will be air-conditioned only in the evenings, studies are being conducted on minimizing peak loads, reducing annual energy demand and ensuring comfort for users when they occupy the rooms in the evenings.
